The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine together with the Slovak police counteracts Russian fakes
In July 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Slovak Republic, together with the police corps of the country, launched the campaign against disinformation “Fakes do not stick to me”. The main theme of the movement was the fight against Russian disinformation. The main part of the campaign are short videos that are dedicated to refuting specific fakes.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine responded to the proposal of Slovakia and took part in the campaign. In a series of short videos, police officers talk about the events of a full-scale war - battles for cities, crimes committed by Russians and about fakes that propagandists were spreading at that time.
One of the speakers was the head of the patrol police sector from Bucha Anton Hrytsiuk. He was one of those who in the first days of the full-scale war evacuated adults and children from the occupied cities of Kyiv region. His photo and story flew around the world's media.

Against the background of a destroyed high-rise building in the Kharkiv district of Severnaya Saltovka, a fighter of the special unit of the National Police KORD told about the disinformation. Together with his colleagues, he participated in the defeat of the Russian military from Kharkov, in particular during the storming of the school where the occupiers were located.
During a meeting of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Communications with representatives of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Ukraine, Police Attache at the Embassy Ludvik Scholtes said that videos directly from the battle sites with the participation of police officers from Ukraine will help Slovak citizens to understand as best as possible that most of the Russian statements are in fact fake by the way, but the propaganda machine continues to spend considerable resources to mislead the world.
