The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the World Congress of Ukrainians will work together for the victory of Ukraine
The relevant joint action plan was signed today in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The document was signed by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrskyi and the President of the CU Pavlo Grod.
The Parties shall consolidate their efforts in the areas of humanitarian demining in the de-occupied territories, treatment and rehabilitation abroad of Ukrainian soldiers and identification of missing bodies.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed that one of the most important issues today is the investigation of war crimes committed by the Russian military. Today, the police alone are investigating 13.5 thousand such proceedings. Evidence is collected even under shelling and on mined terrain.
Denis Monastyrsky told the members of the delegation about the real situation in the country: the state of affairs at the front and in the cities that are recovering after the occupation. He also stressed that Russia today is not only killing Ukrainians on the battlefield, but also trying to destroy the topic of war in Ukraine on the world information field. The aggressor is engaged in mass disinformation.
“On the external information front, we need to keep the international society in good shape. We plan to launch exhibitions around the world with broken military equipment of the occupiers and destroyed belongings of civilians. Because when people see the consequences, they better perceive and understand the brutality of this war,” the minister said.
He also said that initially the exhibition will travel to Europe, where Russian influence is still quite significant. Representatives of the UCU supported such an initiative and proposed to hold similar events in the United States, Canada and Australia.
In turn, Pavlo Grot thanked the Ministry of Internal Affairs and all the Ukrainian people for the fact that, despite all the fears of the world, they were able to preserve the Ukrainian state in the face of Russian aggression.
“The Ukrainian world has come to the rescue. And from the first days, thousands of Ukrainians from all over the world moved to defend their country. Because Ukraine is also our homeland. But today we are directing our efforts to advocate for Ukrainian interests. And all those who fight today on the front must understand that they have a reliable rear, these are more than 20 million Ukrainians living abroad and even more. The vast majority of those who live today in the civilized world have become defenders of Ukraine, — emphasized the President of the World Congress of Ukrainians Pavlo Grod.
In addition, the delegates said that Ukraine days will start in Washington this week. In fact, from this event, they plan to intensify advocacy efforts in support of Ukraine.
The World Congress of Ukrainians is an international coordination superstructure of Ukrainian NGOs in the diaspora, which unites more than 20 million Ukrainians in 133 countries around the world.
