The Ministry of Internal Affairs and MinRegion have started preparing the draft of the National Concept “Safe Community”
On August 26, during the second interdepartmental working meeting of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, a report was presented on the implementation of the mandate for the creation of an interdepartmental working group, which begins the preparation of the draft National Concept “Safe Community”.
In accordance with the task set by the ministers - by October 2022, a draft Government Ordinance will be prepared for the approval of the National Concept “Safe Community”.
“The concept will become a basic document that will unite the already launched initiatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and will contribute to the formation of new security developments. It will also form a canvas for the next legislative and normative steps aimed at increasing the level of security of Ukrainian communities,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The working group consisted of 24 specialists on community development, public security, civil protection. These are practitioners and scientists, heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories, experts of non-governmental organizations and associations of local self-government bodies.
