The Ministry of Internal Affairs expands cooperation with the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation to help those affected by the war
The corresponding memorandum of understanding was signed on January 4 between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the authorized representative of the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation, Matthew Waterfield.
“I am convinced that the signing of the memorandum will be a solid basis for cooperation. We will focus on strengthening psychological support and the search for missing persons in special circumstances. Sincerely grateful for your involvement and interaction,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.
The Deputy Minister noted the effectiveness of cooperation that had developed earlier between the Foundation and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the issues of demining.
Matthew Waterfield stressed that we will receive the first results in accordance with the signed memorandum in a few months in the form of strengthening the capabilities of the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances, training with departmental psychologists and support for the work of stabilization psychological points in the frontline areas.
The Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Foundation focuses, in particular, on supporting the security of the population in frontline and de-occupied regions. Therefore, the next stage of cooperation will be to support the work of the police at the level of communities that were under Russian occupation.
