The Ministry of Internal Affairs signed a memorandum on the creation of a new rehabilitation center RECOVERY in Kyiv
A memorandum of cooperation and the beginning of repair work was signed with the charitable organization Victor Pinchuk Foundation. State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk noted that the purpose of the memorandum is long-term friendly partnership and cooperation, in order to equip a modern rehabilitation department for Ukrainian defenders.
“We agreed to create an innovative rehabilitation space for the military as part of the implementation of our memorandum. I am sure that we have no chance to make this department of poor quality, because the team of medical professionals is very professional. Therefore, very soon we will be able to present the joint product of our activities,” Inna Yashchuk added before signing the memorandum.
Currently, there are 12 innovative rehabilitation centers in Ukraine, which provide free services to the military after injuries. In total, more than 9,000 patients received rehabilitation care in the centers of the national network.
“The signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the national recovery network of Viktor and Elena Pinchuk and the Ministry of Internal Affairs is another step in supporting the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine. Already this year, on the basis of one of the key medical institutions in Kyiv, subordinated to the Ministry, we will create a center in accordance with the world standards of technology and inclusiveness. Every year more than a thousand defenders and defenders of Ukraine will be able to receive high-quality and free services in it,” said Svitlana Hrytsenko, the head of the RECOVERY project, a member of the board of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
The RECOVERY project is an example of a partnership between the private sector and the state, when philanthropists create innovative rehabilitation centers based on state medical institutions. Rehabilitation center is planned to be created on the basis of one of the hospitals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the capital. Repair work will begin there soon.
