International drug syndicate with a profit of 135 million hryvnias a year: The National Police exposed the criminal organization (VIDEO)
According to law enforcement officials, three men between the ages of 27 and 30 organized the drug business. They involved in criminal activities two more residents of the capital, who “worked” directly as the leaders of the organized crime group.
In total, the group consisted of 44 participants. Each of them was responsible for its own direction: organization, transportation, packaging of drugs and psychotropics, their sale and control of the circulation of funds.
The attackers established a channel for the supply of drugs and psychotropic drugs from the countries of the European Union to the territory of Ukraine. The defendants ensured the functioning of an extensive distribution center for the sale of prohibited substances through their own telegram channels. The estimated income at the prices of the “black” market, obtained from illegal activities, is more than 135 million hryvnias per year.
Two active participants, a 27-year-old Luhansk resident and a 28-year-old Kharkiv resident who currently live abroad, sent “goods” using international postal items, disguising them in various items of household appliances. Their comrade received foreign parcels together with two assistants accompanied by a driver and a security guard.
The defendants sold their products in bulk batches to a trusted circle of persons and sent them using the postal service under fictitious personal data throughout the country.
Also, accomplices sold prohibited substances in entertainment venues from hand to hand. For the “product”, customers were charged with cryptocurrency. Dealers had their own virtual banking, from which they later withdrew money received from illegal activities.
More than 400 law enforcement officers were involved to document and expose the criminal activities of the defendants.
Yesterday, December 19, with the strong support of fighters of the special units of the PPP, TOR and the tactical support platoon of the DPP, conducted 58 simultaneous sanctioned searches in the territory of the capital, Dnipropetrovsk region and Mykolaiv region.
As a result of investigative actions, 330 grams of cocaine, 564 grams of amphetamine, 200 grams of A-PVP salts, 1236 ecstasy pills, 100 brands of LSD, 10 pills “Xanex”, “Mefedron” 1 gram, “Naloxone” 5 pieces, “Nalbuphine” 7 pieces, 37 grams of “Ketamine”, more than a kilogram of cannabis, cones, 250 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms. The estimated cost of seized banned substances at “black” market prices is more than 5 million hryvnias.
In addition, weapons were seized, 487 rounds for her, 2 shells of RNG grenades with incendiaries, 72 mobile phones, bank cards, vehicles, money in the amount of 1 120 000 UAH, 8 300 dollars, 1000 euros and draft records.
15 members of the drug syndicate were detained by law enforcement officers in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigators have already informed them about the suspicion of smuggling drugs and psychotropic substances committed as part of a criminal organization and under Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues in particularly large quantities committed by an organized group of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The issue of choosing preventive measures for suspects is being resolved.
The final legal qualification of the actions of the rest of the participants, the notification to them of suspicions and the choice of preventive measures will be adopted after receiving the results of the expert studies. For what he committed, he is barred from imprisonment for up to 12 years with confiscation of property.
