International Day of Education on Mine Hazards: 55,000 schoolchildren took safety lessons in mobile classrooms
April 4 - International Day of Education on Mine Hazards and Assistance in Mining-Related Activities. Knowledge of mine safety in Ukraine is a matter of our future.
In October last year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched a project to train children in mobile safety classrooms in cooperation with the UN Children's Fund “UNICEF”. More than 55,000 Ukrainian schoolchildren have already undergone the corresponding training. More than 12,000 of them attended safety lessons in mobile mobile classrooms in March this year.
Classes are held in specially equipped vehicles, where police and rescuers tell children about the rules of behavior in war conditions.
Currently, there are 15 mobile classes in Ukraine. For the most part, they function in frontline areas and communities where, due to the threat of enemy shelling, students cannot fully study in schools.
The safety of Ukrainian children is the key to a secure future of the state.
