The Minister of the Interior is on a working trip in the area of the PLO
Today, February 19, Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky is on a working visit to Donetsk region. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs visited Kramatorsk and Novoluhanske. Inspected the service performance and the coherence of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Yesterday there was a terrible shelling of a kindergarten in Stanytsia Luhanska. At that moment there were children, but fortunately, no one was hurt. And the whole world learned about the shelling. The consequences of the destruction over the past two days are horrific — shots have been fired at residential areas where people are. During the war, 4500 buildings were destroyed and now 2500 have been restored,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The Minister was informed that all units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system are serving in the regular mode. The situation is not easy, but controlled. The units demonstrate maximum coherence and coordination of work. They have already begun to restore the destruction from the shelling of the last two days.
“I am convinced that today the whole world will learn about the shelling of foreign journalists by forces that violate the Minsk agreements. I am a civilian and today for the first time in my life, together with you, I came under fire. It is thanks to you that people, both in Ukraine and abroad, can find out what is really happening now in the area of the PLO. Thank you for your courage and dedication to the profession,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs thanked journalists
Recall, on February 17, during a working trip to Donetsk region, the Head of State and the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs got acquainted with the procedure of combat patrol of the border and the organization of maritime security in the area of the operation of the Joint Forces.
