The Minister of Internal Affairs awarded the fighters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation

On October 25, the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko visited the hospitals and the rehabilitation center, which houses the soldiers of the National Guard and the State Border Service, as well as policemen of the National Police.

Igor Klymenko talked with the patients of the institutions - these are fighters who were wounded on the front line and were sent for treatment.

“I would like to say to you and your family, “Thank you” for your service, for your heroism. For being you - the pride of the Ministry. The team is waiting for you in line,” the Minister said.

Igor Klymenko stressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs aims to provide each serviceman and policeman with the best possible conditions for further service.

“We will do everything possible so that after treatment everyone takes their worthy places in our system — the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Service and in other services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

The Minister of Internal Affairs also said that the issue of rehabilitation and recovery of soldiers after injuries is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, therefore medical institutions continue to install modern equipment, improve the electronic patient accounting system and attract professional doctors.

“If we started with one therapist and one assistant, today we have four therapists and three assistants. Rehabilitologists work with the injured very actively,” said Irina Rozhelyuk, deputy head of the rehabilitation center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for medical issues.

During a visit to treatment and rehabilitation institutions, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine awarded 75 people - these are wounded soldiers, as well as doctors working in hospitals. 10 of them received state awards.

In addition, one of the doctors received the honorary title “Honored Doctor of Ukraine”. This is Petro Nikitin - leading traumatologist-orthopedist of the hospital of the State Border Service of Ukraine, who has performed more than 5 thousand operations and has 35 years of surgical experience.
