Migration agents provide services for obtaining a permit for travel abroad to stateless persons
Employees of the Chernivtsi Department of the DMS issued a stateless identity card for travel abroad to Aybeniz Ragimova. So now the girl will be able to leave the territory of Ukraine for the first time and visit her relatives in Azerbaijan.
The events were preceded by a difficult path of recognition as a stateless person and obtaining a temporary residence permit in Ukraine. Aybeniz found herself in Bukovina in early 2022 along with many residents of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions who were fleeing the horrors of occupation and daily shelling. However, unlike her compatriots, she did not have a single document that would certify her identity and ensure legal residence on the territory of Ukraine.
Employees of the Office helped the girl to legalize, establishing that she does not belong to the citizenship of any country and has the right to recognize OBG. In addition to numerous advantages — the right to education, health care, legal work and guarantees of social protection — the new status also allowed her to apply for a document to travel abroad and fulfill a long-held dream — to meet her family.
