Today, March 16, during a working trip to Odessa, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko together with the Head of the National Police Ivan Vyhivsky and the head of the OVA Oleg Kiper visited the sites of yesterday's missile strikes by the Russian Federation.

As you know, on March 15, the enemy targeted the civilian infrastructure of Odessa, and when the emergency services arrived at the scene, a second strike was fired. As a result, there are dead and injured among civilians, doctors, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and law enforcement officers.

“Two missiles, which were probably fired from Crimea, covered civilian territory. To date, we already have 21 dead, and more than 70 people have been injured, currently they are in hospitals in the city of Odessa. We can clearly see where the enemy was aiming - this is the building of the service station and the houses of our citizens. And when rescuers arrived there, the enemy sneakily hit this territory with another rocket. Therefore, we have victims among the employees of the State Emergency Service, the National Police of Ukraine and doctors,” said the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Currently, the investigative and operational groups of the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine are finishing documenting another war crime of the Russian army against the civilian population of Ukraine.

In addition, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine visited the wounded as a result of the Russian missile attack on Odessa. They are currently being provided with the necessary medical care. There are still people with severe injuries, doctors are fighting for their lives. Psychologists and psychiatrists also work with citizens to help those affected go through this trauma.

During the working trip, the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko also held an operational meeting with the leadership of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, representatives of the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service. The main topic of which was the issue of increasing the number of attacks. So, in the last day alone, the enemy has inflicted more than 400 strikes on the territory of Ukraine:

“These figures are only in the last 24 hours and this dynamic is constantly increasing. This applies to both the border of Ukraine and the Kharkiv, Odessa, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kherson regions. Therefore, of course, our citizens cannot feel completely safe. Unfortunately, the enemy is trying to sow panic in our state and narratives of offensive actions. But I am confident that we will do everything possible and impossible to stop the enemy and drive them out of our territory.”
