“We never spare ourselves to organize decent fire cover for our infantrymen,” National Guard Rapid Reaction Brigade artillerymen
Artillery calculations of the Rapid Response Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine are working tirelessly on the front positions of the combat clash with the Russian aggressor. About their work was told by one of the commanders of the artillery with the call sign “Mist”.
“I rate the actions of my unit as professional. Since the beginning of the Great War they have grown a lot as artillerymen and as military too. This war smoothly developed into an artillery war. Whether it's offensive or defense - you can't do without artillery,” notes “Mist”.
As the artillerymen themselves tell, the most difficult battles they fought during the defense of Severodonetsk.
“We were always worked hard and with repetitions. On our 12 shots, 2 packages of “hail” and 50 mines flew at us - in total it is 2 hours under shelling. And so in a circle. It is lucky that they themselves do not know where they shoot - they are given the command to cover with squares, they cover” - the fighters share their impressions.
The guard with the callsign “Lenin” chose artillery because of the ability to inflict the greatest fire impression on the enemy.
“We had 7 shells left and somewhere 13 kilometers away a tank came out to our infantry. From the last seventh shot, we managed to aim at the hatch of the turret of the enemy tank - the BC detonated, the tank was destroyed. It can be difficult, but it is even harder for our infantry there, so we never feel sorry for ourselves to organize a decent fire cover for our comrades,” says the artilleryman.
“During the war, I did not see fear or doubt among my boys. This surprises me the most - even from the first day, in the midst of hell, I saw only the thirst to fight until victory in battle. My subordinates are for me a personal example of real artillerymen and I am proud of our team,” the commander of “Mist” repeats more than once.
