We have one confirmed fact of death of a person as a result of torture, - Sergey Bolvinov
This was reported by the head of the investigative department of the police of the Kharkiv region to representatives of foreign media in the premises of the Balakleysky police station, where during the occupation Russian military and special services detained and tortured local residents.
According to Sergey Bolvinov, in the administrative building of the police station were the military of the so-called “LPR” and the Chechen Republic, as well as representatives of the Omon of Togliatti and the FSB of the Russian Federation. In each room, 8 to 15 people were kept, who were secretly monitored.
“During the inspection of the building, we found wires that led to hidden video cameras in the rooms where the hostages were being held. People, including women, slept on the floor and were electrocuted during interrogations. Currently, we have one confirmed fact of death of a person as a result of torture. We know the personal data of the victim and the place of burial, so we will carry out exhumation for further procedural actions,” said the head of the investigative department of the GUNP in Kharkiv region.
Fleeing the Ukrainian city, the occupiers left the prisoners in closed rooms. However, one of the hostages was able to break the window and get out to open all the doors and free the others. Therefore, the exact number of detainees and victims is still being clarified.
