Mechanism for sending passports abroad: how it works
Currently, the mechanism of sending passports from one territorial unit of the migration service to any in another region of Ukraine is clearly working in Ukraine, as well as through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to foreign diplomatic institutions and representative offices of the Citizen Service Center “Passport Service” located abroad.
How to get a passport document abroad?
You should contact the foreign diplomatic institution of Ukraine with an application for obtaining a foreign passport or internal passport in the form of an ID-card in the country of residence. The application should be addressed to the territorial unit of the State Migration Service in Ukraine in which this document was drawn up.
At the end of last year, a government decree settled the question of how to make citizens who issued foreign or national passports in the form of an ID-card in one region have the opportunity to receive ready-made documents directly at the place of their actual stay in another region of Ukraine, as well as abroad.
Therefore, for employees of the migration service, such a procedure for sending passport documents abroad has already become commonplace. A certain algorithm of actions has been worked out so that, at the request of people, passports are delivered to almost any country where there is a diplomatic mission of Ukraine.
For example, an 18-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk will receive her passport in China precisely thanks to this algorithm of actions. A few weeks ago, she issued an ID card in Ukraine. The document was waiting for issuance in the territorial division, but the Ukrainian woman issued a corresponding application with a request to send her passport to her actual place of stay. Or rather - to the city of Guangzhou in the People's Republic of China.
The document is addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. In some time, he will arrive by diplomatic mail on his destination to China.
This year, more than half a thousand biometric documents, including 336 foreign passports, have been sent to Ukrainians from Ivano-Frankivsk to different countries of the world. The geography is wide: from neighboring Poland - to distant Canada and the United States, and from now on to China.
