Mary Akopian met with UK Home Secretary
Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mary Akopian met with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Great Britain Priti Patel. The parties discussed the priorities of cooperation in the context of the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine. It was about cybersecurity, demining, disclosure of war crimes, restoration of the infrastructure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and rehabilitation of employees who suffered as a result of Russian aggression. The Deputy Minister noted that during this time Ukraine received three convoys of rescue vehicles for the SNS of Ukraine from British colleagues.
The parties also discussed the possibility of continuing such assistance, as Ukrainian rescuers lost more than 2,000 units of equipment working under shelling to eliminate fires.
During the meeting, Mary Akopian expressed her gratitude for the support and assistance to the UK government, people and volunteers.
