Yesterday, a representative delegation of the European Affairs Ministers of the EU countries, headed by the Austrian Federal Minister for EU and Constitutional Affairs Caroline Edtstadler, visited Kyiv.

It was on this day that our capital was subjected to another fierce rocket attack. European guests were at the site of the fall of several enemy missiles and saw firsthand the effects of the strikes.

Also, the guests of Ukraine had the opportunity to see the work of law enforcement officers who documented war crimes committed by the Russian military, and emergency responders who were completing the elimination of the consequences of the missile strike. Burned-out cars, destroyed buildings and the blood of the dead literally shocked the foreign delegation.

At the scene, a spokesman for the State Emergency Service told about the course of rescue measures, extinguishing cars that were engaged as a result of the missile strike and the evacuation of people, as well as the provision of first aid to the victims. In particular, at this location were found the bodies of three dead and eight injured, who received mine-blast injuries of varying severity. Among the victims was a 17-year-old girl who was walking here with a friend. The fire was extinguished within an hour.

As a sign of mourning, members of the foreign delegation left lamps at the scene of the tragedy and expressed their condolences to the families of the dead and to the entire Ukrainian people, who are now forced to defend themselves from the barbaric actions of an aggressive neighbor. They assured of the immutability of the policy of further support of Ukraine in this unequal struggle against the military aggression of the current Kremlin regime.

“On the faces of ministers and high representatives of European governments, we saw hidden emotions. They couldn't hold back the tears. People who have been watching what is happening in Ukraine for several months, when they find themselves in the place where the rocket flew an hour ago and where the bodies of the victims have not yet been taken, understand that when Ukraine asks for help, it is not an abstraction, real challenges caused by daily attacks on civilians. They saw in what difficult conditions our rescuers, police investigative and operational teams, forensic experts are working, documenting evidence of war crimes of the Russian Federation, of which more than 43 thousand have already been registered,” the foreign delegation commented on the visit of the site of Russian missiles in Kyiv Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mary Akopian.
