Ilya Zheved, scout of the “Frontier” brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He received the title of Hero on February 24, the day of the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion. But he has been in the war for much longer - since 2014, when he voluntarily went to the front.
The National Guard told the journalists of Radio Liberty about this.
Together with his brothers Ilya organized the defense of Rubezhny in the spring of 2022, after which his brigade fought for Severodonetsk. Last spring, during an assault in the gray zone, a National Guardsman lost his foot. However, his injuries and long rehabilitation did not take away his weapons for the war. Now the military is already training and in the near future is preparing to return to the front line to the brethren.
