Mother of three daughters was selected for the assault brigade “Fury”
35-year-old Maria Karpiuk is a lawyer by profession and a fighter by vocation. She is a mother of three daughters and a volunteer for the assault unit of the National Police “Fury”.
Upon learning about the recruitment to the police assault brigade, Maria immediately filled out a questionnaire. And the next day she was already invited for an interview. What would get to the “Guard of Offensive”, I did not believe the latter. Nevertheless, there was interview after interview, training by training, testing and commission. And step by step Kolomyyanka became the first woman in the Carpathian region, who passed all the stages of strict selection and got into the unit.
“When there is a war in a country and you understand that something needs to be changed, you have to start with yourself. When I see from the media how the Russian occupiers are killing our people, children, I cannot stand aside! That's what prompted me to go to Fury. We have to help the military, the police, our state,” says Maria Karpiuk.
Mary's husband is a military man. So he supported the decision of the brave wife. After all, he saw with his own eyes the atrocities of the invaders. They are very proud of Mary and her daughter.
“My husband said that this is my decision, but I have the right to think, because it is a serious choice. We are fighting against criminals, against murderers who have come to our land illegally and destroy our people, our children. And we just go to return ours, our cities, villages and our people,” adds Maria.
Currently, the woman is preparing for training in the unit. And then — to accomplish the tasks.
