Mariana Reva: The Ministry of Internal Affairs received more than 27 thousand applications for joining the “Guard of Offensive”
This was announced today, February 12, on the air of the All-Ukrainian Telemarathon “United News” by the spokeswoman of the Minister of Internal Affairs Mariana Reva. She also spoke about the stage of selection and drew attention to the interest and desire on the part of volunteers to join the “Guard of Offensive”.
“The main thing in the first stage of selection is motivation. We determine how motivated, ready, wants to learn if a person does not have military experience and whether the main goal is the liberation of Ukraine from the invaders,” said Mariana Reva.
In total, more than 27 thousand appeals were registered regarding the staffing of the “Guard of the Offensive” brigades. More than 12 thousand of them are consultations at CNAPs and by phone “hotline”. Volunteers also submitted almost 15 thousand applications to join the assault brigades of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Speaking about the further steps of volunteers, the spokeswoman of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that in the process of recruiting a candidate it is necessary to go through certain stages. That is, if a person passes them, he will join the brigades.
“The first step is the submission of a questionnaire, then the submission of documents to the units, then - military medical examinations. By the way, more than 800 people have already passed the VLC. Further stages are testing for knowledge of legislation, logical thinking, psychological testing. An obligatory stage is the appropriate level of physical fitness”, - emphasized Mariana Reva.
However, if a person wants to join the “Guard of Offensive”, but has received a summons, the algorithm of actions largely depends on the type of this summons. With this in mind, appropriate documentary appeals from the equipment centers are formed, through which the volunteer joins the “Guard of the Offensive”.
“The formation of eight brigades should take place by April 1, but we see that there is interest from volunteers. Therefore, we can predict that there will be further formation of assault brigades,” Mariana Reva summed up.
