Lviv National Guard Received 2,000 Vests
The defense cluster of the region handed over two thousand body armor vests for the needs of the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine. Some of them will remain in the military units of Lviv, others will be transferred to the units of the Western Operational and Territorial Union of the National Guard. In the future, all these armor vests will protect the lives of National Guardsmen who perform tasks in the combat zones of our country.
The transfer of body armor took place with the participation of the Head of the Western Territorial Department of the National Guard of Ukraine Brigadier General Oleksandr Buravkov, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maxim Kozytsky, the mayor Andriy Sadovoy and the head of the Lviv Defense Cluster Maxim Plom Yekhov.
“Today, the state provides about 80% of the needs of the Defense Forces in the equipment of body armor. We try to help those units where the needs are not fully covered yet. These armor vests are standard, military-grade armor vests of the fourth class of protection. They meet all the requirements of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. More precisely about the model of the body armor - these are the so-called “plate holders”. Their main task is to protect the most important internal organs, the posterior and frontal “death zones”. At the same time, they are convenient and allow the troops to remain mobile, but they will protect against shrapnel and bullets,” says Maxim Plehov, Chairman of the Board of the Defense Cluster.
It is not for the first time that the Lviv Defense Cluster transfers armor vests for the needs of the National Guard. They have already gained trust among the military. In total, 85000 armor vests were transferred to the defense forces during the full-scale invasion.
“We do everything for the sake of one common goal - victory,” says the head of the Western TU Brigadier General Oleksandr Buravkov, “Victory is brought by our defenders and people who make every effort to provide the fighters with the necessary. It is very important for us to preserve the life of every serviceman, so we are grateful to the defense cluster for their cooperation and for the high-quality body armor that they have handed over.”
