Summer holidays: parents, watch your children more carefully
Law enforcement officers warn about the need for parents to pay special attention to their children during the summer holidays.
In a state of war, particularly during an air alert, parents should always be aware that their child is hiding in a shelter — even if they are under the supervision of other persons or guardians (e.g. summer camp, grandmother, tourist trip, or elsewhere). It also does not hurt to once again remind the child of the danger that objects found on the street can carry and remind that it is impossible to lift them in any case.
In addition, the number of accidents in which injuries are always increasing in the summer, and sometimes children die. The same applies to traffic accidents involving minor pedestrians. The explanation is simple — children, who usually spend a lot of time preparing homework, have a lot of free time in the summer, and parents can not always control where, with whom and what things they spend their leisure time.
Among other dangers that lie in wait for children in summer is the danger of getting into an unpredictable situation on the water. Often the fun of jumping in the water, swimming competitions and fun on a variety of floats made from scrap materials ends in trouble - and it is good when there is someone nearby - a friend or a casual eyewitness who has the appropriate skills and can save a child who has swallowed water and sinks.
The list of dangerous places where children can be injured also includes unfinished buildings, where there is always a risk of falling from a height or injuring a leg or arm, and woodlands where you can get lost. Children's play with fire also often leads to tragic consequences — burns and, in some cases, death.
Cycling is not always a safe activity, especially in places with heavy traffic. Be sure to remind children of the Rules of the Road, in particular, points about the peculiarities of movement and operation of two-wheeled vehicles, as well as take care of protective equipment - helmets, knee pads, etc. Separately, emphasize the need to strictly follow the traffic rules when passing the roadway.
Have you, parents, considered that the responsibility for your children during the period when they are unsupervised rests entirely with you? And in the event that some kind of trouble happens to your child, and you did not prevent it, you can be brought to administrative, and in some cases, even criminal liability.
Therefore, dear parents, periodically ask yourself the question — do I know where my child is now? And if you can not clearly answer this to yourself, then you are doing something wrong and necessary, without wasting time, to find out if everything is okay with your child. Take responsibility to supervise your children during the summer holidays. This is really important!
