Leonid Tymchenko: Today there are already three appeals to the police regarding missing persons in the disaster zone in Kherson region

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Tymchenko today, June 7, on the air of the “United News” telethon.

“As of this morning, we received three calls to line 102 regarding persons who disappeared under special circumstances in the Kherson region,” said Leonid Tymchenko.

He also told what to do to relatives whose relatives disappeared or do not get in touch.

“First of all, you need to contact the National Police of Ukraine at number 102 to provide information regarding persons who have disappeared under special circumstances. After that, the National Police, using all means, carries out a search for persons,” says the Deputy Minister.

In addition, he advises Ukrainians whose relatives are from the disaster zone to immediately contact law enforcement.

The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said that at the moment there are data on 23,876 people in the register of missing persons under special circumstances, which has been working since May 2.

“As of today, only to the Ministry of Internal Affairs we have 3049 appeals from citizens. Also, appeals are sent to the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under special circumstances. Also, we have already provided relatives with 660 extracts, which are needed by the social protection authorities to calculate the relevant payments, in particular, for the appointment of a pension in connection with the loss of the breadwinner,” Leonid Tymchenko said.
