Leonid Tymchenko: Units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs delivered 494 driver's licenses abroad
“In 10 days since the launch of the new service — international delivery of driver's licenses — the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received about 760 applications. We are talking about 494 certificates, which have already been transferred to drivers abroad by our State Enterprise “Infotech” through “Ukrposhta” to Poland,” Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Tymchenko reported on the air of the All-Ukrainian TV Marathon “United News”.
The Deputy Minister also said that from the second half of November, the Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to start providing such a service in Germany, the Czech Republic and Italy. In addition, in the future, this service will also be provided in other countries that have ratified the Vienna Convention.
Leonid Timchenko also explained what is the difference between the provision of these services directly in branches operating abroad and the new one: “You need to contact the State Enterprise “Document” personally, but not every city in Europe has its representative office. When ordering a certificate in the driver's e-account, you can get a document without leaving your home anywhere. With the introduction of this service, we provided our citizens with an alternative, because it was possible to deliver to any settlement in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Italy in line.”
