Latvian border guards handed over 30 night vision devices to Ukrainian colleagues
The head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Serhiy Deineko and the head of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia Guntis Puyats met in the Ukrainian capital.
Serhiy Deyneko familiarized those present with the activities of the Border Agency of Ukraine in the conditions of war with Russia, the situation on the line of contact and the situation in the border areas, where the Security and Defense Forces are restoring control over the state border.
The parties also discussed directions and prospects of cooperation in the context of further European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.
The head of Ukraine's border agency thanked friends from Latvia for constantly seeking solutions on various international platforms to stop Russian terror, as well as for the assistance that is now being used in the fight against the Russian occupiers.
Recall that the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia provided Ukrainian colleagues with Mitsubishi Parejo SUVs, vehicles for transporting service dogs, armored helmets and body armor, UAVs, chemical protection suits and first aid kits.
In addition, during the visit to Ukraine, the Latvians handed over 30 night vision devices to our border guards. Also in the near future it is planned to transfer additional generators and UAVs.
