Stole branded clothes in stores and sold: law enforcement officers detained fraudsters
The capital's law enforcement officers detained the clothes thief and his accomplice. Law enforcement officers received information that a man and a woman are operating in the capital who steal clothes from branded stores. Signs of the defendants were established and searched for them in the parking lot of one of the shopping centers of Podolsk district. During the inspection of the belongings of the intruders, law enforcement officers discovered magnetic clips and clothing that they had just seized in the store on duty.
It turned out that a Kyiv resident previously convicted of property crimes created a website for the sale of branded things. He sold them twice as cheap. In fact, the ordered goods were stolen by the attacker in the capital's stores. He added an acquaintance to the “cooperation”, who was also previously convicted.
After receiving the order, the accomplices went to shopping centers. There they were looking for the right things. After that, the woman carried the goods to the fitting room, removed magnetic clips from it and hid it in her backpack. The organizer of the scheme was waiting for her in the car.
Law enforcement officers established 3 episodes of theft. Offenders are detained, they are preparing a report of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - theft committed under martial law. Accomplices face up to eight years in prison. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
