The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has sufficiently high combat training to provide a security component for persons crossing the demarcation line.

Currently, in the regular mode, from 08.00 to 16.00 hours, the entry-exit checkpoint “Stanytsya Luhanska” operates daily. There are no changes and restrictions on the order of operation of the checkpoint and the intersection.

The number of people crossing the demarcation line on a daily basis has decreased significantly. A significant decrease in passenger traffic is observed in the direction of the temporarily occupied territory. So, today, as of 13.00, 308 people followed through the demarcation line in the direction of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, in the opposite direction - 556. Last Tuesday, at this time, 704 people crossed the demarcation line to the temporarily occupied territory and 1037 to the controlled territory of Ukraine.

In view of the aggravation of the situation and the danger that has developed on the demarcation line, the commander of the operation of the Joint Forces, decided to temporarily suspend the operation of the Checkpoint “Schastya” from 08.00 on February 20, 2022, for the period of the threat. For the time being, the movement of persons and vehicles is suspended.

It should be noted that until the temporary cessation of the operation of the Checkpoint “Schastya”, the road corridor “Luhansk-Shchastia”, the registration of humanitarian cargo was periodically carried out, which was directed to the temporarily occupied territory for citizens affected by the Russian aggression.

It should also be noted that on February 18, during the return of the humanitarian cargo of the UNHCR, the occupation troops cynically began shelling checkpoints where civilians and border guards were located.
