In the past, she is a champion in sprint running, a coach in rhythmic gymnastics, a school teacher, and now she is a paramedic with the nickname Storm. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation as part of the operational unit exposed traitors, and today, as part of the assault brigade, the police saves the lives of comrades at the front.

Ksenia Dolidze began her police career with a service in the Strategic Investigation Department. She worked in the field of document management, but always sought to bring benefits “on the ground” to people and society as a whole. When the war began, she, as well as the other girls of the unit who have young children to raise, were offered to evacuate to a safer region of the state. The police refused. Instead, she decided to stay in her native Zaporizhzhia, because this is where people might be needed, so she instantly changed her uniform to tactical clothes.

Several times a week, together with the special forces, she practiced shooting skills from different types of weapons at the training ground, performed tasks with SBU specialists to document collaborators and DRG. In addition, she communicated with volunteers and philanthropists to help the fighters of the police special forces, the NGU and the Armed Forces with drones, thermal imagers, clothing and food kits. In this mode, the police officer worked for almost a year, and when in January 2023 the recruitment campaign for recruitment to OSB “Lute” started, she without hesitation submitted an application for participation in the competition.

“When I was escorted to Fury, I didn't know what was ahead of me. Yes, I was the first woman to join the assault brigade from the Zaporizhzhya region, but I did not consider myself an example for others. Everyone chooses their own path. I decided that mine is the fight against the occupier at “zero”, - explains Ksenia.

The girl was included in the group of combat medics. She underwent appropriate training, in particular in Romania, and was later entrusted to perform the functions of paramedic already at the front:

“I didn't even expect that I would get my first combat assignment so quickly. I have mastered the skills of a paramedic and become an integral part of a real combat team that works as a single coordinated mechanism.”

In mid-July, along with the rest of the “ferocians”, she was placed in combat orders. He says it was difficult in the early days, but in war you learn everything quickly, because every second is someone's life saved.

“In general, we had one minute to equip ourselves, jump into the car and reach the transfer point of the wounded. During the first task, when we were evacuating the wounded, the orcs were beating like freaks. The shells fell on both sides of our car just a few meters away, but there was no time to hide. The driver had to rush at a frantic speed to the stabilization point, and at the same time I had to control, so as not to worsen the condition of the fighter. We did it. They saved both the soldier and themselves,” the police officer recalls.

Then there were many similar evacuations. This is how the not at all “gray” everyday life of our defenders and defenders goes.

“When you carry out one evacuation after another,” she says, “it happens that for several days you do not have sleep, you do not eat normally, you only feel crazy physical and emotional exhaustion. But you understand why this is all. All the guys we rescued said the same phrase: “Thank you for pulling us out, we didn't wait and mentally say goodbye to life.” But how not to pull out when the heart is pinching for everyone?!”

Like all Ukrainians and true patriots of his Motherland, Burya dreams of the day when he will return home, hug his child firmly and with a smile on his face say: “Don, we won!”
