Smuggling under the guise of postal items was exposed by Lviv border guards
A Mitsubishi truck driven by a 27-year-old native of Lviv region followed Ukraine through the Grushiv checkpoint. During the inspection, the truck driver reported that he was moving 150 postal items.
On the initiative of the operational staff of the Lviv Border Patrol and employees of the Lviv Customs Anti-Smuggling Office, the “parcels” decided to check more thoroughly. In the course of which, together with representatives of “Ukrposhta”, border guards established that the total weight and quantity of goods significantly exceeds that specified in the documents.
In total, among the postal items, a man tried to illegally move 79 printers, 43 boxes with mining equipment, 38 boxes with network and video equipment, 20 boxes and 2 pallets with clothes of Italian and French manufacturers, 8 boxes with shoes, 4 boxes with armor plates etc.
