Smuggling of more than 1.5 million hryvnias and 56 violators: the situation at the border
In Yagodin, smuggled clothing was found among the cargo of humanitarian aid, and border guards stopped 25 attempts to violate the state border over the weekend.
Goods worth more than 1,5 million hryvnias were tried to be imported to Ukraine.
During the inspection of the truck “Man”, which followed from abroad with a humanitarian cargo, border guards found contraband: more than a thousand units of new clothes. Information about jackets, T-shirts, sweaters and tracksuits did not appear in the shipping documents. Smuggling was seized by customs officers.
In Transcarpathia, during the weekend, border guards detained 56 men who tried to illegally enter Romania and Hungary. 7 times the violators searched for weak points in the areas of responsibility of the border service departments “Kosino”, “Vilok” and “Luzhanka”, located on the border with Hungary.
The border outfits of these units stopped 30 border violators. In addition, 18 more attempts were stopped by border guards from the border service departments “Dilove”, “Yablunivka” and “Tyachiv”, located on the border with Romania.
The soldiers of these units detained 26 men of conscription age who tried to illegally leave the territory of Ukraine. In relation to the detainees, protocols were drawn up on administrative offenses, provided for in Art. 204-1 KUPAP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”. Cases were sent to court.
In total, on September 10, 91 thousand people and 19 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region).
46 thousand people left Ukraine. 28 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova.
To Ukraine were followed - 45 thousand people. 40 thousand of them - citizens of Ukraine.
80 trucks with humanitarian aid were issued.
