“You, Ukrainians, today show the world extraordinary determination, readiness to defend your land and fight for freedom and European values. Also, your resilience is extraordinary. But, unfortunately, your struggle is not over yet. Support from international partners is necessary, and it will continue to come in various ways. We will continue to be with you. We also hope that with the equipment we are transferring today, the Russian-Ukrainian war will become the most documented war in history. We believe that information technology plays an extremely important role in this sense,” said Antti Hartikainen.
Vasyl Teteria, on behalf of the Police of Ukraine, thanked the representatives of the ECSC for the support that the mission has been providing to the National Police for several years: “Only with the latest equipment will we be able to win: both in weapons and in technology. The equipment will be distributed, in particular, to those units that were affected by the Russian aggression, where we lost regional departments. Only in this way can we defeat our enemy. You are side by side with us, we look forward to further partnership and friendly relations.”
The ECSC also noted that the mission plans to organize and conduct trainings for Ukrainian investigators and forensics who document and investigate war crimes.
Recall: earlier, European partners handed over to the National Police more than a thousand hooded vests. It is also planned to transfer 1200 body armor and protective helmets.
