The commander of the National Guard met with the families of the soldiers who provided the protection of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and those who were captured
Alexander Pivnenko reported about this in his official Telegram channel.
He said that he discussed with the families of the servicemen issues that directly relate to the exchange process and the mechanisms of access to information about prisoners of war.
“At the same time, there are issues that we must help those released from captivity to return to normal life as soon as possible, as well as issues that concern their families. This is primarily treatment and rehabilitation, as well as financial, social, documentary aspects that require the interaction of relevant commanders and officials,” the commander of the National Guard informed.
Oleksandr Pivnenko noted that during this time, according to the results of the exchanges, it was already possible to return 70 servicemen of the National Guard who were captured at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
“This work continues and will continue until all our defenders and defenders are home,” he said.
