Commander of the Steel Border Brigade: “In this brigade I want to see motivated people who know what Ukraine is and see the future only in a free country”
Valery Paditel is one of the defenders of Mariupol. He returned from Russian captivity on September 21, 2022. He heads the 15 mobile border detachment “Steel Border”. This unit will become one of the assault brigades, the creation of which was started by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In his pamphlet, he noted that for him the love of the Motherland is the ability to sacrifice even the most valuable.
Valery Paditel named three main qualities of the military: physical training, knowledge of the material part and respect for the team.
He talked about the most difficult thing for him personally for him to hear about the loss, when information comes about the dead, the wounded, with whom the connection is lost.
Speaking about the new generation of Ukrainians and the future of Ukraine, he noted that it will be patriots first: “These will be educated people who will want to learn and build this country. They will be free people who will have the right and will be able to make choices. I see the country as a worthy European state, the greatest state in Europe, in which all the institutions will work, and that, I think, is probably the most important thing for us to continue to prosper, to have development and prospects.”
In “Steel Border” Valery Paditel wants to see above all motivated people who love their country, who know what a parental home is, who value their family, who know what Ukraine is and see the future only in a free Ukraine.
“I, as a commander, guarantee you training, availability of weapons, equipment and guarantee you to make balanced decisions that will be directed to victory and save life,” Valeriy Paditel said, urging Ukrainians to join the Brigade of the Guards Offensive “Steel Border”.
