Colors that unite in the struggle for peace and freedom
August 23 is a sacred date for Ukrainians. This is the day of one of the main symbols of Ukraine — the State Flag.
The holiday, initiated as a mark of commemoration of the centuries-old history of Ukrainian state-building and the state symbols of independent Ukraine, today acquired a new sound. Today we celebrate Flag Day, under which we resist the insidious enemy inexorably, Flag Day, under which we will achieve Victory.
That is why the Ukrainian blue and yellow tie is now recognizable all over the world. It became a symbol of peace and a free future. It unites not only Ukrainians in the struggle for freedom and independence, but also the entire world community — in the struggle for democratic values.
Blue color — cloudless sky, yellow color — ripe wheat fields. These are the colors of peace, freedom and life. These are the colors of Ukraine.
