When your native land is on fire, no matter what time of year - border guard Oleg
At one time, he chose for himself the profession of a border guard, to which he devoted more than fifteen years of his life. After the end of the contract, he went to work in the State Emergency Service, where he served until February 24, 2022. After the beginning of the military aggression, he returned to the DPSU.
Working in the State Emergency Service, Oleg acted as a rescuer in the most ecologically dangerous territory of Ukraine — the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
“This year I decided to go on vacation in the winter, because summer is a hot time. Possible fires in the area. And when it comes to locating and taming a fire, another pair of hands is never superfluous. But you see how it turned out. My change just happened on February 24. The occupier came. And my fellow firefighters were captured,” Oleg recalls.
In order to come to the aid of the guys, Oleg immediately arrived at his border unit, where he had previously served, and took up a weapon.
Under the onslaught of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, which include border units, the occupiers could not resist and were evicted from this territory. All rescuers from Oleg's shift were fired.
Today, Oleg continues to serve in one of the border units, which defends the north of Ukraine. The border guard is convinced that the enemy will not pass here, and if he still thinks, then he will be here.
