Kennel pairs of guards in Kharkiv seized a lot of weapons and drugs

Last week, canologists of the 5th Slobozhanska Brigade prevented another “batch” of weapons, ammunition, explosives and drugs from being imported to Kharkiv. Moreover, service dogs discovered a considerable number of stolen mobile phones, watches and antiques.

Thus, on Monday, November 27, at 10:10 a.m. at the entrance to Kharkiv city from Chuguev's side, during filtering activities, a Peugeot Boxer vehicle driven by a man born in 1991 was stopped by a mobile canine group. During the inspection of the car by a dog handler with the service dog Amorek in the car, it was found: 2100 cartridges of 5.45 caliber and 78 cartridges of caliber 9 mm.

On the same day and at the same block post at 12:40 during an attempt to drive to Kharkiv, a Volkswagen Transporter 5 car driven by a man born in 1977 was stopped for inspection. A dog handler with a Malta service dog found in the cabin of the car: 150 rounds of 5.45 caliber, three grenades: M67, RGD and F1.

“In this case, it should be emphasized that all grenades were transported by the offender transferred to the martial state!”, - adds the head of the dog service of the brigade Roman.

According to him, the driver was detained by representatives of the National Police of Ukraine, criminal proceedings under Art. 263 KKU.

The next day — November 28, at 12:10 p.m. at the entrance to the city of Kharkiv, a mobile canine group stopped a KIA Sorento car driven by a man born in 1986 for inspection. A dog handler with a Malta service dog found in the cabin: 275 cartridges of 5.45 caliber and two cartridges of 7.62 caliber.

And in this case, it was not without an interesting continuation.

“The offender tried to illegally introduce into Kharkiv in disassembled state AK-74 automatic machine of 1984. A large number of stolen awards of unknown origin, mobile phones and watches were found in the same car,” the officer adds.

The offender was detained by representatives of the National Police of Ukraine.

At the end of the week — December 01, at 9:10 a.m. at the checkpoint at the entrance to Kharkiv from the Kyiv side, during filtering activities, a Mersedes Sprinter car driven by a man born in 1984 was stopped by a mobile canine group. During the inspection of the vehicle by a dog handler with the Amorek service dog, a gray-green substance of plant origin was found in the car's interior in an amount of approximately 3 grams.

The Investigative and Operational Group of the National Police of Ukraine traveled to the scene of the incident, criminal proceedings under Art. 309 CCU — illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of marketing.

On the same day and at the same block post at 10:20am, a Nissan X-Trail car without state Ukrainian registration plates was stopped for inspection, driven by a man born in 1999. During the inspection of the vehicle by a dog handler with a Malta service dog, two Ukrainian-made assault rifles were found in the car's cabin. The offender was transferred to representatives of the National Police of Ukraine, criminal proceedings under Art. 263 KKU.

And at 14:50 on the same day, a mobile canine group stopped a Mersedes Sprinter vehicle driven by a man born in 1974, who was trying to drive to Kharkiv from Kyiv. During the inspection of the car by a dog handler with the service dog Amorek, an M67 grenade and a bayonet knife were found in the car's interior.

“During a closer inspection, the service dog found another 800 rounds of 5.56 caliber, 600 rounds of 7.62 caliber and a powder charge of 1 kg,” Roman adds the story.

Saturday, December 2, also became a bad day for arms and drug carriers.

At 10:25 at the entrance to Kharkov from the city. During the filtration measures for inspection, a Kia Besta car driven by a man born in 1972 was stopped in Dnipro. During the inspection of the vehicle by a dog handler with Malta's service dog, hidden 10 tablets of Tramadol, an analgesic belonging to the powerful opioid painkillers and available only on prescription, were discovered in the car's cabin. The investigative and operational group of the National Police of Ukraine was called to the scene, a criminal case under Art. 309 KKU.

On the same day, December 2, at 15:05 at the checkpoint at the entrance to Kharkiv from the Russian side, during the filtration measures, the mobile dog group of the 5th Slobozhanska Brigade stopped a Volkswagen T4 vehicle driven by a man of 1974. During the inspection of the car by a dog handler with the service dog Biggie, a whole arsenal was found in the car: 6 RGD-5 grenades, 6 unified shells of a modernized hand grenade, 210 cartridges of 5.45 caliber and 8 cartridges for PMs of 9 mm caliber. The offender was detained by representatives of the National Police of Ukraine, criminal proceedings under Art. 263 KKU.

Another 4 cases of illegal importation of weapons, ammunition and drugs were recorded during Sunday. As usual, the violators hoped that due to the large flow of transport returning to Kharkov, they would be able to accomplish their plans. However, the dog trainers of the team and their pets turned out to be true professionals in their field.

At 14:45 at the entrance to Kharkiv from the side of the city. Snakes during the care of a Volkswagen Golf 4 car driven by a man in 1986. A dog handler with a service dog, Biggie, found 31 grams of a gray-green vegetable substance in the car. The investigative and operational team of the NPU, which arrived at the scene, seized the find and initiated criminal proceedings under Art. 307 CCU — Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues.

After 15 minutes at the same block post, the canine duo of our team in a 1981 Volkswagen T4 car stopped for inspection, under the control of a man, discovered another substance of plant origin of gray-green color of 1 gram.

“This is a very illustrative case,” comments the head of the dog service of the brigade, “the offender tried to transport only 1 gram of the substance, which was carefully concealed. However, the service dog Eric immediately found a hiding place behind the smell. The investigative and operational group drew up the necessary documents and initiated criminal proceedings under Art. 309 KKU”.

On the same day — December 3, at 09:30 at the checkpoint located on the Chuguyiv — Kharkiv highway, during preventive measures, a Kia Pregio vehicle was stopped by a mobile canine group. During the inspection of the car by a dog handler with the service dog Irbis in the cabin, two RGD-5 grenades, four unified sunk hand grenades upgraded, 800 rounds of 5.45 caliber and a bayonet knife.

And at 15:05 at the same block post, during an inspection of a 1975 Ford car driven by a male dog, a dog handler with a service dog, Juki, was found in the trunk of the car: three M67 grenades with a spark plug, one UZRGM2 ignition and 60 rounds of 5.45 caliber. The Investigative and Operational Group of the National Police of Ukraine prepared the relevant documents, initiated criminal proceedings under Art. 263 KKU.
