Number of victims of missile strike in Chernihiv rises to 144 people (VIDEO)

On August 19, the enemy launched a missile strike on the center of Chernihiv. Seven civilians were killed, including one child. 144 injured local residents sought medical help. Of these, 15 were children and 15 police officers. Police officers conduct apartment detours, accept applications from injured people.

Currently, the police are bypassing 66 damaged buildings in the center of Chernihiv (in total it is about 500 apartments). Police also recorded damage to 64 townspeople's cars.

As a result of the collision, the roof of the Drama Theater was destroyed with the ensuing fire. In addition, a fire also broke out on the roof of one of the houses. Emergency rescue workers quickly extinguished the fire. The blast wave damaged cars, windows and doors in nearby residential high-rise buildings and shops, and other civilian infrastructure.

According to Interior Minister Igor Klymenko, most of the victims at the time of the missile strike were in vehicles or crossing the road, as well as returning from the church. Everyone who was in the drama theater went down to the shelter in time. After the announcement of the air alarm, officers of the National Police tried to get everyone into shelter.
