Heads of border agencies of Ukraine and Lithuania held a working meeting at the border with the Russian Federation
Delegations consisting of border guards of the two states visited the site of the Chernihiv border detachment.
Lithuanian colleagues were able to see firsthand the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in this direction and how the border is guarded and defended in the territory from which the Ukrainian Defense Forces displaced the invaders. Major General Serhiy Deineko and General Rustamas Lyubayevas visited the positions and location of one of the border units, whose fighters guard the state border under constant shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation and interact with the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Serhiy Deineko assured his Lithuanian counterpart that Ukraine will definitely win and the support of partners remains very important in this regard.
“We have no other way out, we are obliged to defeat the enemy,” the head of Ukraine's border agency stressed.
