Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Teteria and interim Acting Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Andriy Danyk held a working meeting with the Japanese delegation.

The meeting took place in one of the educational institutions where future rescuers are trained. Foreign partners got acquainted with the specifics of their training. The delegation also visited one of the units of the State Emergency Service, which trains rescuers in various categories, in particular with the use of equipment provided by Japanese partners.

In the framework of the meeting, further steps of development of cooperation and assistance to the units of the State Emergency Service were discussed.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of cooperation, Japan has provided Ukrainian rescuers with more than 600 units of special equipment and equipment, which is already helping to overcome the consequences of Russian aggression.

The Deputy Minister thanked the guests and expressed hope for strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Japan: “First of all, I want to express my gratitude to the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation JICA, the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine, the Government of Japan and the whole people of Japan for the unwavering support of Ukraine in this extremely difficult for our state's time when we are fighting for our right to be free and independent in the bloody war that Russia has waged against Ukraine.

According to him, the results of bilateral cooperation will significantly expand the capabilities of emergency rescue units.
