Tortured with electricity and mocked by the chersun: the suspicion of the Russian military is reported
Law enforcement officers of the Kherson region established the identity of the Russian military who committed war crimes in occupied Kherson. On August 13, 2022, a 23-year-old shooter of the military unit of the federal service of the troops of the Russian National Guard with the use of physical force along with other military detained the 28-year-old owner of one of the cafes month.
The man was knocked to the ground. And the defendant personally inflicted at least ten blows to the victim with fists in the torso area. After that, the victim was taken to one of the torture rooms, which the occupiers arranged in the captured building of the temporary detention center.
The kidnapped man was imprisoned and held in unsanitary conditions: they were not given food and water, beaten on the head, back and other parts of the body, used a stun gun, attached wires to various parts of the body through which electric current passed, committed other violent acts, threatened with murder.
Chersun was released after 16 days. For this, the victim's wife paid 100 thousand hryvnias to the occupiers.
The 23-year-old Russian National Guard was reported on suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 1 of Art. 438 “Violation of the laws and customs of war” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the pre-trial investigation has been completed, the indictment has been approved by the regional prosecutor's office and directed to the court. A war criminal is threatened with imprisonment for a term of 8 to 12 years.
