This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine during a visit to Germany, where she met with the State Minister of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany Tobias Lindner.

“Germany provides more than half of all assistance from the EU, covers military, humanitarian and financial components,” Kateryna Pavlichenko expressed gratitude to the German Government for the support of Ukraine in general and the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in particular.

Also during the meeting, the problem of humanitarian demining was discussed.

“Despite the active fighting, we have managed to clear 5% of the mined areas, but 25% are still dangerous. Mechanized demining machines play a significant role in the demining process. With the help of 38 machines received by the SNS from international partners, more than 700 hectares of territories were mined. Each of them saves the lives of explosives technicians,” the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine stressed.

She also informed colleagues that one of the priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs now is to strengthen the state border in the areas where hostilities continue and in the north. This requires engineering equipment.

Ekaterina Pavlichenko said that the security situation in our country has changed dramatically. Therefore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is forming new approaches to ensuring security. One of the priority areas is the safety of children.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed readiness to support the work of the Educational Security Service in Ukraine.

Currently, 117 thousand war crimes committed by the Russian Federation have been recorded, so against this background, the meeting also talked about increasing the number of DNA laboratories and additional materials for their work.

The State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany expressed support and readiness to further support Ukraine and the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The German partners are determined to continue to help as actively and in some areas even to strengthen their support.
