This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs at the event “On the way to the implementation of the National Strategy for Reducing the Gender Pay Gap for the period until 2023 and the contribution of partners to this process”, which was held with the participation of First Lady Elena Zelenskaya.

Ekaterina Pavlichenko said that at the moment it is necessary to apply to the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs:

▪️ Differentiated approach to identify positions in which women have the fewest. Today, 23% of certified police officers in NPU are women. IN THE DSNS — 11%.

▪️ Gender-oriented budgeting. This process is deeper than comparing salaries in the same positions.

Particular attention should be paid to investigating cases of discrimination on the basis of sex and sexual harassment in the workplace. Each department should develop policies to counter these phenomena.

“Despite the war, Ukraine does not lose its progress in ensuring equal rights and opportunities, but on the contrary consolidates it. Thanks to the leadership of Elena Zelenskaya and the systematic work of the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko and the entire Ministry of Economy, our country is building long-term plans for development,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.
