Kateryna Pavlichenko visited defenders and defenders released from captivity
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kateryna Pavlichenko visited the defenders and defenders released from captivity and checked the conditions of rehabilitation.
“46 guards and border guards who yesterday managed to return from Russian captivity are undergoing medical examinations. This is only the first stage of the process of comprehensive rehabilitation and accompaniment.
Everyone is formed an individual treatment program. Medical institutions and rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs use a human-centered approach in their work, therefore they carefully examine the state of health of each patient,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs also said that among the freed military 20 people were guards. With most of those undergoing rehabilitation today they managed to communicate. It was priceless to see their emotions when meeting relatives and siblings they had not seen or communicated with since they were captured.
“We brought some sweets and small presents to the boys and girls. After dozens of months in Russian captivity, even a trifle like ice cream makes even the saddest person smile.
There is still a long period of rehabilitation ahead for those released from captivity. I wish everyone and everyone a speedy recovery!” - added the deputy minister.
