Kateryna Pavlichenko spoke about seven months of police work in the conditions of war at the MAZHP conference
During a speech to representatives of the International Association of Women Police (International Association of Woman Police), Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko spoke about the new challenges for the police during the war in Ukraine and the role of women in maintaining law and order in the country.
“Today, the police also carry out work on fixing war crimes. Almost 32,000 such crimes have been recorded on the territory of Ukraine. Among them: violation of laws and customs of war, murder of civilians, destruction of infrastructure and cultural heritage of Ukraine, violation of agreements on “green corridors” and murder of journalists,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.
Among the personnel of the NPU 27% are women. They participate in almost all types of police operations: carry out rescue operations, carry out service at checkpoints, evacuate the population, prevent sabotage and looting, and help everyone in need.
In her speech, the Deputy Minister noted that the National Police of Ukraine, together with other services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted the largest evacuation of civilians in Europe since the Second World War. More than 8 million people moved within the country.
Also, Kateryna Pavlichenko outlined the prospects and challenges that await the law enforcement system in the future and thanked the international community for supporting Ukraine.
