This was emphasized by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs during a visit to Zaporizhzhya region. Kateryna Pavlichenko presented the members of the evacuation teams and paramedics of the police of the region with departmental honors from the Minister.

In the Zaporizhzhya region there are two groups of police officers. Each consists of a community police officer, a psychologist, and a juvenile. Paramedics who are involved in the evacuation of the wounded also work in parallel. Each of them has undergone special training.

Over the past 7 months, these boys and girls have removed about half a thousand citizens from the frontline settlements of the region. Among them, 122 are children, and more than 30 are people who have difficulty moving independently.

“This work requires courage, because the crews constantly have to work under shelling. Each of them already has considerable experience in communicating in emergency situations. As the police themselves say: it is not so difficult to get people out of a dangerous place as simply to convince them to leave. Despite the fact that our law enforcement officers succeed, for which they are very grateful,” said Ekaterina Pavlichenko.

In parallel, our paramedics work here, who are engaged in the evacuation of the wounded. Each of them underwent special pre-medical training. These people have a double responsibility, because the lives of military, police, and civilians who were wounded in combat areas depend on them.
