“Kara-Dag”: GUARD OF ATTACK. How it all began
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is launching a special project in which it will tell about each of the brigades of the “Guard of Offensive”. The special project on the history of the formation of the assault brigades of the Guard of the Offensive begins with the story about the “Kara Dag”.
The name of this brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine speaks for itself. Kara-Dag is a mountain in Crimea and the task of the 15th Brigade of the Hero of Ukraine Bogdan Zavada is to liberate the peninsula from the Russian occupiers.
“Kara-Dagu” fighters took part in defensive battles for the cities of Melitopol, Molochansk, Tokmak, Kamianske and stopped the enemy's offensive on Zaporizhia. They are now firmly holding the Zaporizhzhya front. The slogan of the brigade is “Let's raise the flag over Crimea”.
“Don't be afraid to go to war. Does someone have to drive a tank, shoot artillery? If everyone is so afraid of the military commies, then who will expel these non-people from our occupied lands?” the instructor of the brigade calls.
The instructor of the “Kara-Dag” brigade, who has the nickname “British”, is actually a Cossack from the Zaporizhzhya region - from the city of Tokmak. He participated in the ATO since 2018, and since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, he fought in the defense of Zaporizhzhia.
