The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin during a live broadcast informed about the process of launching video cameras for traffic violations.

According to the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the work of the system, which worked well before the start of large-scale Russian aggression, is now resuming. Failure to comply with the speed limit is the number one cause of accidents in our country, in particular, with human casualties. That is why it is time to return in this aspect to the generally accepted rules and preserve the life of citizens of Ukraine in this way.

“At the moment, the situation on the roads is slowly returning to normal. At the same time, we remember the first days after the start of full-scale Russian aggression, when the traffic lights on the roads of Kiev were turned off and after they started working again, how many drivers still neglected their signals,” Yevgeny Yenin noted.

Also, the First Deputy Minister emphasized that at present there is a significant increase in the number of road users, both in Kyiv and throughout the country, and this is the decisive factor in the decision to return the practice of automatic fixation of traffic violations. Especially since it has already proven its effectiveness.

“In certain locations of video recording cameras on the most dangerous sections of highways, there was a decrease in fatal accidents three to five times,” Yevhenii Yenin summed up.
