The Cabinet of Ministers has approved regulatory changes that will allow ordering license plates and applying for registration/re-registration of cars online
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted amendments to regulatory legal acts that allow ordering license plates and applying for registration/re-registration of vehicles online. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapyaty wrote about it on his Facebook page.
“The relevant changes provide that registration and re-registration of the vehicle will be available online, through the Driver's Electronic Cabinet or through the Diia Portal. The service will be carried out by submitting an application in electronic form, filling in the forms (fields) of which will be carried out automatically, taking into account the information received within the framework of electronic information interaction with the unified information system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Whereas previously it was only provided for the replacement of the driver's license through Dia,” Bohdan Drapyaty wrote.
The changes adopted by the Government also provide for the possibility of ordering license plates online (through the Driver's Electronic Cabinet or the Diya application). In addition, the list of registration actions related to state registration, re-registration of vehicles, which are carried out without conducting an expert examination of the vehicle by specialists of the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has been expanded. As well as the opportunity for a citizen at a convenient time (separately from registration/re-registration of the vehicle) to order an expert study of the vehicle with the receipt of the relevant conclusion, which will be valid within 10 days.
“It should be noted that after the introduction of relevant innovations, citizens will have the opportunity to make a choice between receiving services online and traditionally (in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs),” the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs noted.
Separately, Bohdan Drapyaty noted that the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will enter into force 3 months from the date of its publication. During this time, the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine will prepare the technical capacity for the full implementation of digital services.
