The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated additional funds to the Ministry of Internal Affairs - almost UAH 17 billion to strengthen the country's defense
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal at the regular meeting of the Government on April 19.
“Today we will decide to allocate almost UAH 17 billion to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These are funds for border guards, national guards, policemen, who are part of our defense forces and destroy Russian invaders all over the front. For the Ministry of Defense, we allocate an additional 16 billion UAH. The main funds are for the payment of salaries to the military, for the repair and modernization of equipment, for payments to the families of the deceased heroes,” said Denis Shmyhal.
17 078 210.1 thousand hryvnias are intended for the material and technical support of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which are involved in ensuring national security and defense, medicines, food products, weapons and ammunition, personal protective equipment, fuel and lubricants, property, etc.
“Our armed forces are defending themselves. They are held in all directions, including in the hero city of Mariupol. We believe in our victory and we believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The primary task of the Government remains the provision of our defenders. Every week we allocate billions of hryvnias for this,” the head of government added.
