Yevgeny Yenin: In a week the police detained the DRG and 31 people who may be involved in cooperation with the enemy
On the eve of Independence Day, it is possible to activate sabotage groups to influence the internal security of the state, to try to sow panic among the population. The police continue to work in a strengthened mode. First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevgeny Yenin announced this on the air of the tele-marathon #UАразом.
“We continue to detain people every day who are trained to work for the enemy. These people provide the enemy with important information, their ears and eyes, hiding in our rear, trying to rake in the fighting spirit. On the eve of Independence Day, we predict the possible activation of sabotage groups to influence the internal security of the state, an attempt to sow panic among the population. Right now, together with the SBU, we are monitoring and collecting information about possible preparation of provocations by individuals or DRG. Security measures have also been tightened on highways and in places of recreation of citizens,” Yevgeny Yenin said.
According to the first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police continues to work hard.
“Every day more than 6,000 police uniforms come into service, and this is more than 13,000 police officers. Therefore, it is important for citizens to observe the rules of martial law and, including not to neglect the air alarm signals, to go to shelter. And also do not forget about the curfew. For example, the other day in the city of Shostka, the police stopped a VAZ car for violating the curfew, the driver was not sober and during communication with law enforcement threw an improvised explosive device on the side, which exploded. Fortunately, no people were hurt, only the police car and the violator. Such irresponsible actions only disperse our forces and distract from priorities,” Yevgeny Yenin noted.
The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs noted that over the past week, about 6 thousand people have been checked by the police, of this number, hundreds of people were transferred to SBU units for further support.
“Directly by the departments of strategic investigations and criminal investigation for the specified period, one DRG has been exposed and 31 persons who may be involved in cooperation with the enemy have been detained. In general, since the beginning of the war, 102 DRG have been exposed on the territory of the state and 1,669 people have been detained. Today, if we are talking about bringing to justice for collaborative activities, according to the facts of cooperation of citizens of Ukraine with the aggressor state, more than 1,200 criminal proceedings have been initiated, 204 have received reports of suspicion, 100 criminal proceedings have been sent to court,” Yevhenii Yenin said.
