Yevhenii Yenin: More than 9,400 civilians have been killed by the occupiers' shelling
The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs spoke about the consequences of Russian military shelling and the detection of collaborators in the de-occupied territories on the air of the All-Ukrainian TV Marathon “Yenyi Novosti”.
As Yevgeny Yenin reported, the enemy continues to strike critical infrastructure. Currently, there is no energy supply in 507 settlements in eight regions of our country. The most affected are Kharkiv region, where 112 settlements were de-energized, Donetsk and Kherson region - more than 90, Mykolaiv region - 82, Zaporizhia region - 76, Luhansk - 43.
Due to terrorist attacks, the civilian population suffers and the number of deaths increases daily.
According to the National Police, more than 9,400 civilians were killed and another 6,800 injured. Among them, unfortunately, there are children: since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 461 children have died,” Yevhenii Yenin said.
According to him, the police are recording new and new crimes of the enemy in the territories liberated by Ukrainian troops, which the enemy is shelling the hardest.
“As soon as the Russians fled Kherson, they started shelling civilians every day. Investigative units of the National Police in the de-occupied territory of Kherson region have already documented about 600 war crimes. In Kharkiv region, which is almost the most heavily bombed, investigators have documented 3,400 war crimes. In the past day alone, 41 facts were added. In the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv region, about 900 bodies have already been found, of which 700 are civilians, more than 80 are military personnel, more than 100 are Russian servicemen. 111 bodies have been found in the Kherson region, 75 of them are civilians,” said the First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
He also said that the police continue to work to identify collaborators in the de-occupied territories. In particular, about 13,000 people were checked in Kherson region, of which 161 people were detained, who may be involved in cooperation with the occupation forces, espionage or collaborative activities.
“In total, according to the facts of cooperation of the population with the state sponsoring terrorism, more than 2,100 criminal proceedings have been initiated. For example, yesterday the police of the Odessa region exposed a resident of the regional center of 1981, who, using the Telegram messenger, transmitted enemy information and coordinates of the location of fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The criminal has already been informed of the suspicion and a preventive measure has been chosen in the form of detention,” Yevhenii Yenin said.
